Honored to be Included in the 2023 GC Powerlist

I am humbled and proud to share that in 2023 I was included in the GC Powerlist, a recognition of leading general counsels who have made a mark in their jurisdictions and industries.

This nomination came during my tenure as Chief Legal Officer at Tesla Group, where my role was to connect legal governance with technological ambition in the fast-moving energy sector. I had the privilege of guiding the legal and compliance aspects of Tesla Group’s work in renewable energy, energy-efficient technologies, and high-tech innovation.

One of the highlights of that period was my involvement in securing state aid for the first battery energy storage systems (BESS) factory in Central and Eastern Europe. This was not only a major step for the company but also a milestone for the region, marking the beginning of large-scale storage as a cornerstone of the energy transition.

My journey to this point has been shaped by diverse experiences:

• Executive leadership as CEO of Romanian Post (2019–2021), where I led structural reforms, digital transformation, and improved financial performance in one of the country’s largest state-owned companies.
• Big Four training at Ernst & Young and Deloitte, which instilled discipline, precision, and a global mindset.
• Advisory and legal expertise across sectors such as energy, defense, and resources — always with a focus on building partnerships and enabling investment.

What ties these experiences together is a simple belief: the law is not a barrier, it is an instrument of growth when applied with vision, integrity, and courage.

The recognition in the GC Powerlist is not just a personal milestone. It reflects the collective effort of the colleagues, partners, and mentors I have had the privilege to work with over the years. It also reinforces my determination to continue bridging the gap between legal certainty, business needs, and strategic investments in Romania and across the region.

I see this acknowledgment not as an endpoint, but as a call to go further, to keep pushing for a regulatory environment where innovation can thrive, where investors feel secure, and where Romania can take its rightful place in Europe’s energy and security transitions.
