Strategic Opportunities for Romania – Horia Grigorescu | MHG Consulting Talk at Ziarul Financiar

This week I had the pleasure of joining Ziarul Financiar for a live conversation on some of the most important opportunities Romania and the region are facing today. Our discussion touched on three sectors where Romania can genuinely make a difference for Europe’s future:

🔹 Renewable Energy – scaling up solar, wind, and storage projects is now just as much about competitiveness and security as it is about sustainability.
🔹 Critical Raw Materials – under the EU’s Critical Raw Materials Act, Romania has the chance to position itself as a reliable supplier for Europe’s green and digital transitions.
🔹 Defence & Security – with Europe reshaping its priorities through REarm Europe and the SAFE initiative (mobilizing over €150 billion), Romania could play a stronger role by linking its industrial base to continental defence efforts.
